AOL On Content Now Available on Apple TV

Today we are excited to announce that our complete library of over 900,000 premium videos is now available on Apple TV. From news and entertainment to food and sports, viewers now have access to all of their favorite AOL content right through a customized user experience. After successfully programming experiences on iOS for mobile and tablet, we're excited to extend our consumer offering to Apple TV.

"At AOL On, we've spent the past two years focused on programming all available OTT devices and this announcement represents our 15th integration over that timeframe," said Ran Harnevo, President of AOL Video. "We are now able to provide Apple TV users with access to AOL's premium video programming through an easy-to-use interface featuring best-in-class design."

Not only will Apple TV users be able to access content from our owned and operated partner sites like HuffPost Live, TechCrunch, and Makers, but also our full slate of original series that was announced just a few months ago at the AOL NewFront event.

It has been our mission to bring our premium video content to every viewer on every screen across every device. With this latest integration, AOL On is now available on Apple TV in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. With our content now on 15 OTT devices including Samsung, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV, amongst others, we will continue to develop innovative experiences programming our content for consumers across all devices.

Newly re-designed AOL On launches on the Amazon FireTV connected box

Yesterday, AOL announced its inclusion as one of the launch partners of Amazon's highly anticipated video streaming box and game console. The new Amazon FireTV will include the full AOL On library of over 890,000 videos, including a newly-updated HuffPost Live app and user interface.

In addition to AOL On and HuffPost Live, Amazon FireTV will stream movies and videos and offer apps and Android-based games from all launch partners, including all Amazon and Amazon Prime content. More information on the box and additional developers can be found here.

We're committed to providing our viewers with the premium video content they love on every screen – and our partnership with Amazon, as one of FireTV's founding content providers, is indicative of that commitment.
Including the Amazon FireTV box, the AOL On app is currently available on 14 connected devices and across three mobile platforms.

AOL On to Power Roku's Home News Channel

Where do you go to get the latest news? When you need to know what's happening in the world today, do you pick up a newspaper, turn on the TV, check a website, or see what's trending on social media? No matter which one is your preferred modus operandi, you've likely chosen it for two reasons: 1) it's convenient, and 2) it's a source that you trust.
As our news consumption habits evolve with the times, AOL is proud to provide today's connected consumers with yet another option that meets both of these criteria. Beginning today, Roku's home screen will feature a stream of continuously refreshed news videos powered by AOL On. With hundreds of videos from our partners – The Associated Press, BBC, CNET, E!, ET, Engadget, HuffPost Live, Reuters, and The Wall Street Journal, to name a few – Roku users will now be able to access news from the most trusted sources in the industry simply by turning on their device.

AOL On's library of 700,000 curated videos and original series is still available through the Roku Channel Store. But now, with the addition of the "News Channel on Roku powered by AOL On", users will also have instant, on-demand access to a dedicated news channel directly on their home screen for the very first time.
We're proud to partner with Roku on the launch of our news channel. But most importantly, we're excited to provide viewers with a convenient way to watch the news they need from the sources they respect the most.

AOL On Videos Coming Soon to a TV Near You via Chromecast

It's no secret that AOL On is home to all the latest videos trending on the Internet. Now, we want to bring AOL On's content straight to you! We've partnered with a number of different platforms to bring you your favorite AOL programming wherever you are, at home or on-the-go.

We're working to bring AOL On content (via our Android or iOS apps) to Google's Chromecast users later this year, so they can view their favorite videos from the best seat in the house-- their couch! Chromecast will allow viewers to watch anything from the web, right on their TV screen, by casting it through a smart device for easy at-home viewing. Yup, that means no more crowding around a phone or laptop when sharing your favorite scene from #Candidly Nicole with your friends.

We know you've been craving for the latest episodes of Now Eat This! Italy and Anthony Eats America to watch on a bigger screen, and now you've got them.

Stay tuned for more updates!
