AOL Debuts on the Brand New HTC One®


(Our CEO Tim Armstrong helps debut HTC One® featuring HTC BlinkFeed™)

Today, HTC unveiled the new HTC One®. It will be available globally next month, and feature HTC BlinkFeed™, part of the new HTC Sense experience. AOL will provide thousands of pieces of content every day, in 5 different languages, that people will be able to 'snack' on every time they use their HTC One.

HTC BlinkFeed brings previously hidden content to the home screen, so you can see the things that are most interesting to you at a glance, without having to launch a series of apps.

This is AOL's first global launch with a major smartphone manufacturer, featuring its leading content brands including The Huffington Post, TechCrunch, Engadget, Moviefone, Patch, StyleList, Autoblog, TUAW, Joystiq, AOL Music, Spinner, The Boot, The Boombox and NoiseCreep.

Nina Garcia's Original Web Series 'Decoding Style' Launches on AOL On Style!

Nina Garcia is a woman of many titles, Marie Claire Fashion Director, Project Runway judge and New York Times best-selling author. Now she can add host of the AOL On original series, "Decoding Style" to that list.

Starting today, Nina will help transform very deserving women by 'decoding' what her style is communicating to the world. The fashion maven will then update her look to embody what she hopes to express from the inside out. The entire 10-episode series will be available exclusively on the AOL On's Style channel as well as StyleList, HuffPost Style and HuffPost Women.

Presenting: Electric Holiday

Today, AOL and StyleList launch a partnership with two iconic brands: Barneys New York and Disney. Electric Holiday will be unveiled in the legendary window of the Barneys New York flagship store featuring fashion heavyweights and Disney characters alike. StyleList is thrilled to be the exclusive digital partner in launching the much-anticipated Electric Holiday animated short featuring Minnie Mouse and some of her pals.

During Electric Holiday we get to see Minnie Mouse live out the fashion fantasy of a lifetime in Paris. She rubs elbows with high fashion favorites like Naomi Campbell, Lady Gaga and Sarah Jessica Parker, ultimately joining her friends down the runway in a stunning Lanvin design.

StyleList Tops comScore, Kitchen Daily and Homesessive Gain Momentum

Following the recent relaunches of Kitchen Daily and StyleList, and the launch of Homesessive, AOL's Lifestyle portfolio is already gaining momentum. As reported in today's September comScore Media Metrix, StyleList is now ranked #1 in Style & Beauty. We also moved up six places in the Food category and four places in Home, and moved to #5 in Lifestyle overall.

Today's comScore Media Metrix numbers show our commitment to lifestyle content, and helping people who are looking for real tips and solutions across all areas of the lifestyle space and inspiring their personal style.

The AOL Lifestyle portfolio includes MAKERS, which launched earlier this year, as well as Kitchen Daily, StyleList and Homesessive.

AOL Participates in First Digital Content NewFront

In February AOL joined forces with Digitas, Hulu, MSN, Yahoo! and YouTube to bring the first-ever Digital Content NewFronts (DCNFs) to the market. The day has come for AOL to show the market the quality and depth of our offerings, and the level of differentiation we bring to advertisers.

Today, we bring together AOL's clients with leading content creators, distributors and talent in a unique environment that showcases all that we have to offer. Our program focus: Powering Brands through Ideas and Content.

We've seen – from our consumer and advertiser insights – that premium content powers the differentiation that brands are looking for to reach and engage with consumers. AOL powers content and brands through its well-known media properties, including Autoblog, TechCrunch, Moviefone, Engadget, The Huffington Post, Stylelist, MapQuest and Patch. As a part of this, we are deeply committed to original programming and understand the importance of creating a meaningful marketplace for brands with digital content. Given our range of branded, premium, social and video-centric programming, we continue to deliver interesting and valuable experiences to users -which is what advertisers want and need.
