HuffPost Goes Español with Huffpost Voces


Today we're proud to continue our cultural expansion with the introduction of HuffPost Voces, our Spanish-language vertical taking the place of AOL Latino, the #2 U.S. Hispanic website*. HuffPost Voces will cover current events and cultural trends from a Latino point-of-view – from politics, entertainment and beauty to music, sports and parenting. The site will feature content ranging from dynamic storytelling to investigative reporting.

HuffPost Voces features a dedicated editorial team and shares a publishing platform with English Latino site, HuffPost LatinoVoices, which launched in August 2011. The individual but cross-pollinated sites reflect the state of Hispanic America and cater to the fast-growing, increasingly influential population of bilingual/bicultural Hispanics – an audience that gets its information and entertainment in either language on its own terms. Advertisers will also have the ability to target a wider U.S. Hispanic audience through integrated bilingual programs on HuffPost Voces and HuffPost LatinoVoices.

Bienvenidos a El Huffington Post


We're excited to announce that The Huffington Post has announced plans to partner with El País to create El Huffington Post, an international Spanish-language version of The Huffington Post. The partnership will combine HuffPost's powerful platform with a strong Spanish editorial network. El Huffington Post is recruiting an editorial team in preparation for its launch which will happen in the first quarter of 2012.

El Huffington Post will combine the local editorial expertise of El País, the leading Spanish newspaper and one of the most widely-respected global news dailies, with The Huffington Post's pioneering combination of original reporting, aggregation, leading-edge commenting forum, dynamic social-engagement tools, and vibrant platform for a wide range of bloggers. The partners will also focus on original editorial content through an affiliated network of journalists and bloggers.

This expands The Huffington Post's global presence which already includes HuffPost UK and HuffPost Canada. It comes on the heels of October's announcement about the launch of Le Huffington Post , a French-language edition of the site, to be run in conjunction with The Le Monde Group and Les Nouvelles Editions Independantes.
