AOL Autos, the leading auto research and news channel on the Internet, began a new program, "AOL Autos Giveaway," where we will periodically giveaway some of our favorite vehicles to our loyal readers. The kickoff of the program resulted in the giveaway of a 2012 MINI Countryman to a 19-year old pre-med student from Michigan State University. Jasneet was the lucky winner who simply "Liked" AOL Autos on Facebook and filled out a short, simple form on our Facebook page and was randomly selected for the giveaway!

AOL Autos chose the MINI Countryman for its first giveaway due to the positive experience the AOL Autos team had as part of their long-term test drive, and to commemorate MINI USA's 10^th anniversary. As part of the anniversary, AOL Autos' senior editor Scott Burgess, assistant editor Colin Croughan, and I traveled through 16 states and almost 4,000 miles as part of the road rally, "MINI Takes the States," which kicked off in New Jersey on July 4 and finished in Los Angeles on July 15.

AOL Autos is partnering with MINI for their cross-country rally, MINI Takes the States, taking place July 4th – 14th. Joining MINI in celebration of their 10^th anniversary in the U.S., members from the AOL Autos team will be participating in the rally and sharing footage from the open road with AOL Autos' readers.
