We're excited to announce that Michelangelo Signorile has joined the HuffPost team as Editor-at-Large of HuffPost Gay Voices. In this position, Signorile will help shape the site's vision and direction, offer commentary and analysis, live-blog events, assist with assigning story coverage, and enlist a wide array of voices to contribute to the conversations of interest to the gay community and beyond.
In its first month after launch, HuffPost Gay Voices was the most popular gay site, as measured by comScore (October 2011).
Signorile's popular radio program, "The Michelangelo Signorile Show," airs on Sirius XM's LGBT channel, OutQ, each weekday from 2pm-6pm ET. He regularly interviews politicians, filmmakers, playwrights and celebrities, from Congressman Barney Frank and Larry Kramer to Rosie O'Donnell and Chaz Bono -- and takes calls from listeners across North America.
Signorile is a former editor-at-large for The Advocate, a former columnist and editor-at-large for Out magazine and also served as editor-at-large for Planet Out/Gay.com. He is the author of four books, and has written for many publications, including The New York Times, USA Today, the New York Observer, the Los Angeles Times and New York magazine. Signorile has appeared on many TV news programs, including Today, Good Morning America, the O'Reilly Factor, AC360 and Larry King Live.
