Today, we officially renamed HuffPost High School, HuffPostTeen, to better reflect the site's mission: to be the go-to platform for teens to talk about issues that matter most to them -- not just academically but socially and culturally. Plus, HuffPost Teen just sounds more fun!

HuffPost Teen is written primarily by readers -- young people who want to share their passions, their experiences, their stories. Sometimes those stories will make you laugh, other times they'll move you to take action.

We've been waiting for the perfect moment to embrace this new name, and we chose today in partnership and solidarity with our friends who are also launching an important and ambitious project: Lady Gaga's new organization focused on Youth Empowerment, "Born This Way."

In honor of both events, you'll see a series of blogs across various Huffington Post sections written by inspiring teens about the subjects they feel most passionate. To find them, look for stories adorned with blue "Youth Empowerment" arrows. (And, of course, HuffPost Teen will feature them all!) We'll also be livestreaming the "Born This Way" launch event, featuring Lady Gaga, at 4 p.m. ET, so be sure to check back then. Our very own teen blogger Renee Dushane will be reporting from the front row as our special correspondent. And we'll also feature a very special surprise blog post.
