AOL Series, "Follow Me" Documents the Lives of Modern Day Digital Creators

What happens when the vlogging, tweeting and instagramming stops for modern day digital creators? That's the question AOL is striving to answer through its newest original series, "Follow Me."

Launched today, the 10-episode series documents the lives of modern day digital creators who are redefining the definition of celebrity. Each installment features a different star, allowing unprecedented access into their lives.

In the first episode of this eye-opening digital series, viewers will get an intimate look at the busy life of Brittani Louise Taylor- a self described "digital ninja," actress and filmmaker with more than 1.1 million subscribers and over 200 million video views - as she preps for production on her YouTube videos as well as all of the behind the scenes work that goes into maintaining her brand.

Also premiering today, JC Caylen and Ricky Dillon of "Our 2nd Life" (O2L) take us behind the scenes of O2L, one of the most popular millennial brands today with more than 8 million YouTube subscribers and over 280 million views collectively. At AOL's 2014 Newfront, one tweet by JC Caylen garnered 325,000 likes and 2,000 retweets, higher than all other A-list talent.

AOL Original, "Park Bench" with Steve Buscemi, Premieres Today

When AOL announced the 2014 slate of original programming at our 2014 Digital Content NewFront, we reaffirmed our long-term commitment to creating premium shows with authentic storytelling. And, what could be more authentic than unscripted moments and conversations with average New Yorkers?

AOL's new series, "Park Bench," launched today, does just that.

Starring Golden Globe winner and Emmy-nominated Steve Buscemi, this is no ordinary talk show.

Born and raised in the city that never sleeps, Buscemi offers a look at the people, places, and spirit that make the city one-of-a-kind. Buscemi is best known for his portrayal of weird, quirky characters in numerous films and television shows over his 29-year acting career – most recently in a starring role in HBO's Boardwalk Empire. As it turns out, this quirky and comedic persona extends into reality and comes through in the series as he takes viewers beyond interviews and into his daily life.

Park Bench comprises impromptu interviews with real New Yorkers Buscemi encounters in the streets as well as unscripted celebrity appearances. He covers everything – from people and places to music and politics. With celebrity guests ranging from comedian Chris Rock to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, Park Bench is expected to appeal to both AOL's current audience and audiences unfamiliar with AOL Originals.

Park Bench will feature 12 episodes, promoted weekly. Watch the first episode here.

AOL Launches New Series, "My Ink"

We've just launched a new docu-series, "My Ink," featuring celebrity athletes across major professional sports sharing the stories behind their tattoos-- thus proving that every picture tells a story. The series was produced in partnership with Mandalay Sports Media and executive produced by award-winning producer Mike Tollin.

In each episode, a different athlete gives viewers an intimate look at their lives and their body art revealing a personal side rarely seen before. Audiences will follow each athlete as they visit with their favorite tattoo artist, experiencing first-hand the process they go through in selecting their next piece of ink and witnessing them get it tattooed then & there.

The first 6 episodes of the 12 part series are available now at MyInkSeries.com and include Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl Champion running back Ray Rice, iconic skateboarding prodigy Ryan Sheckler, electrifying NY Knicks shooting guard JR Smith, WNBA dunking phenom Brittney Griner, bone crushing UFC fighter Benson Henderson and NASCAR pit crew CrossFit superstar Christmas Abbott. Future episodes will feature Philadelphia Phillies clutch closer Jonathan Papelbon, outspoken Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson, and Gold medalist pro soccer player Sydney Leroux.

We're excited that the addition of "My Ink" continues to significantly bolster AOL's premium sports video offerings -- highlighted by our premium video syndication agreement with ESPN and our first original sports series FLAT OUT.

"My Ink" offers the rare opportunity for intimate and revealing portraits of our favorite athletes. We think this is great storytelling -- and your chance to see these performers like you've never seen them before.
