Editorial recruiters on AOL's Talent Acquisition team hosted a panel for journalists at the New York office last week that attracted a full house – including editors and reporters from ABC, NBC, CNN, Black Enterprise magazine and Uptown magazine. The event, the first in a series titled "Conversations," is aimed at engaging the editorial community around important issues.

The panel, comprised members of Huffington Post's multicultural sections including moderator HuffPost BlackVoices Executive Editor Christina Norman, HuffPost BlackVoices/HuffPost LatinoVoices/HuffPost Voces Managing Editor Miguel Ferrer, HuffPost BlackVoices Senior Reporter Trymaine Lee, HuffPost BlackVoices Senior Reporter Janell Ross, HuffPost BlackVoices Senior Editor Gene Demby, and HuffPost Gay Voices Editor Noah Michelson. Derek Murphy, GM of HuffPost's multicultural sites, was also in attendance.

Diverse communities of journalists were invited to attend through organizations with which the recruiting team partners to find great talent for AOL. In addition to network TV and magazine journalists, the audience included representatives of the National Association of Black Journalists, the ColorBars professional network and UNITY, as well as students from New York University and Columbia and a good turnout of AOL employees.
